Mount St. Helens

It appears that the lava dome on Mount St. Helens continues to grow. As soon as this thing calms down, I want to climb this mountain. I am making this a new goal of mine. It doesn’t seem like it will be a very difficult hike. Especially since the whole side was blown away in the 1980 eruption. I know you need a permit to climb it, but I think the best time to do it is in August since Washington gets decent weather in August. Periodically it is fun to view the Mount St. Helens Webcam, but after reading a story on ABCNews.com, my interest in climbing this mountain seems to grow. ABCNews has also posted some new photos of the lava dome. I just want to stand on the lava dome and have my picture taken.
