It’s Official: Washington In A Drought

Gov. Christine Gregoire declared today that Washington state is under a statewide drought emergency. The declaration basically means that state agencies are to get ready for the summer months and up-and-coming fire season that attacks eastern Washington. It is predicted that we will face the worst drought since 1977.

While it’s hard to believe, Seattle in a drought. Believe it or not, we have had a very mild winter and little snow in the mountains. I see the electrical bills going up because no water to drive the hydro-electric power plants and water bills to go up obviously.

"As the Pacific Northwest girds for the worst drought in 28
years, precipitation is at or near record lows across the state,
and mountain snow pack averages are running 26 percent of normal.
Many rivers are at or near record lows for this time of year."

This is not good news for Spa Doctor, Inc. May have to lay people off cause we wont have people interested in cleaning and/or using their tubs because of the lack of water
