Martell Webster Going NBA?

Nothing official has been announced, but it appears that this one kid from Seattle might be entering the NBA draft instead of going onto college and playing for the University of Washington. With the announcement that Nate Robinson is going to the NBA, this will hurt the Dawgs. Some are speculating that Martell, from Seattle Prep, would be a top-10 pick.

It would be nice to have the NBA create some rule like the NFL does that prevents high school grads from skipping college and going into the pros. Football makes the most sense since they are going to be playing against grown men who are stronger and faster. Basketball isn’t as much of a contact sport like football, but it would still be good to have these kids go to college. It would allow them to get the education and backup plan, but also allow them to improve their game by playing a couple of years in the college ranks. All the pro basketball teams want their own Kobe Bryant or LeBron James.
