Hate To Tell Ya

I am about to say something that I thought I would never say. For years I have been deathly afraid of these things, but something has come over me to make me think twice. To be sure, I am going to enroll in a class to learn as much as I possibly can. What I am referring to is learning how to ride a motorcycle. If I like it and feel comfortable with it, I am considering purchasing an old motorcycle and use it as a commuter (weather pending of course).

I am not looking for anything fast. Not looking for anything really flashy. Just want something reliable. I am looking at one because of the cost of gas these days. With my commute to Redmond I am averaging about $250 - $260 per month in fuel. Getting to be a bit much. I would use the bike not really on the freeways, but using it drive around the lake via Juanita and what not.

Just something I have been considering.

YOU STOP THAT TRAIN OF THOUGHT RIGHT NOW! You would be better served to get a used beater Honda or something on that order. My company gas bill is about $400 a week - feel better???

Oh it’s not that bad. Can’t knock it until you try it. I know the feeling. I was saying the exact same thing when eGreg was getting his motorcycle.

Check this out. This is the bike I am looking at. It might LOOK fast and what not, but the engine is small and doesn’t put out a lot of horsepower. Copy this link –> http://www.yamaha-motor.com/assets/products/mcy/media/wallpaper/2005/wallpaper_mcy_05_r6_5_800.jpg
