Can It Get Any Worse?

I know I was bitching about Hurricane Katrina, but that is because I am tired of hearing about it. Now watching the news and seeing Hurricane Rita approach Texas, it is scary. The storm itself changes from a category 4 and 5 storm periodically. Either way, this is not a storm to ignore. The second fact is that this storm is coming very close to another major US city; Houston.

As Rita inches closer and closer to the mainland, we are already starting to see the havoc start. The crippled levees in New Orleans are breaking from all the rain.

“We have three significant breaches in the levee and the water is rising rapidly,” he said. “At daybreak I found substantial breaks and they’ve grown larger.”

Not only is the storm causing problems, but the innocent people trying to evacuate are experiencing problems. In the news, there are reports of a bus carrying elderly people caught fire. They fear 24 are dead.
