Annual Review Coming
It’s year-end review time at work. We have to fill out these stupid HR templates for our annual review, and then submit to manager for review, and finally the template goes to HR for final review/approval. I hate doing reviews! I don’t hate meeting with my boss and receiving feedback, but it’s the coming up with accomplishments.
I can come up with a few things, but I always seem to miss a lot of other projects I worked on. The other thing that is weird is “selling yourself” on the form. You want to show all the steps you did to complete the objective, and then rate yourself. I always rate myself below what others would give me because I always think I could do it better then I did.

I had the same issue when i worked with NWHP. To solve that I kept a word document that I would make notes in on what projects I was assigned, how fast I completed the project and some comments that I received as a result of my work or positive outcomes as a result of my work. That way when review time came I dressed it up and submitted it as an attachment.
Funny you mention that. Max called me yesterday and was like “tomorrow, you’re going to OfficeMax and going to buy a notebook. On the first page, you are going to make a note of all the projects you work on throughout the year. Then for next year’s review, you will have everything you need.”
