Reality Bites
It’s a painful reality, but reality sucks! Some relationships work where as some fail. My last relationship failed, but it still doesn’t get any easier to let go or have the pain dissipate. I see it in others too - I know I am not alone. Letting go is probably one of the hardest emotional things to do. Valentine’s Day can be a very happy holiday for some, but for me, Valentine’s Day is one of those depressing holidays that make you sit and wish. Wish you could celebrate like the millions of others.
Rascal Flatts is scheduled to release their new album in early April. They currently have a single out titled ‘What Hurts the Most’. The song seems to fit my current life situation perfectly. Some of the lyrics in the chorus are:

Garbage man,
It takes a strong person to know what they want and stand up for themselves to get it. You had the courage to do that. You should be proud of yourself and don’t let one day (Valentines) bring that down.

Sometimes you should take joy in the hurt. The deeper it hurts the more you loved. Those that feel no pain and can go on so quickly are actually displaying their inability to love at all. Its never a bad thing to have done “the dance”. Its when one doesnt enjoy that dance even when its over, that one is really missing out! You had a great Valentine’s Day - you were with one of the greatest loving people in the world! You!!!!
I won’t lie, I do miss her dearly but at the same time I am happy that she has someone to make her happy. It’s one of those situations where the mind feels one thing and the heart feels something else.
It’s an internal clash going on.
This too shall pass! Hell I had a dream about your father last night and we split 15 yrs ago!
