Seattle’s December Wind Storm

Fighting Spammers!
Filed in Site News, December 14, 2006, 4:15 pmOver the last 3 days my website has been hammered by spam bots. To date, one of my spam plugins has stopped >6000 spam comments from being posted. To aid in the fight against spammers, I’ve added a couple new spam fighting plugins to my arsenal. The arsenal currently contains:
1.) Akismet
2.) Bad Behavior
3.) Spam Karma [...]

James Kim Found Dead
The body of James Kim was found in a steep ravine near area where Kim left clues for rescuers. A truly tragic ending. James Kim was a senior editor for C|Net. I remember James from his days with TechTV on the show Fresh Gear.
James Kim’s body was discovered in Oregon’s snowy Coast Range two days after his wife and two daughters were rescued from their car, stuck on a remote road. Kim had set out on foot over the weekend to find help for his family.
Comcast Digital Voice

The Digital Voice service is essentially a VoIP service, however with the Comcast product, the internet traffic for phone service is processed on a dedicated server and kept seperate from the public cable internet lines.
