Wow. How did you get 20Mbps? That can’t be right!
Here’s mine, which I also suspect is off by 30% or more.
Since I bundle phone, tv, and internet with Comcast, the speed they advertise is 12mbps. When I spoke with one of Comcast techs (one whom is employed with Comast and not a contractor), they told me that the speed will be around 20 with a 1.5 upload. You won’t see those speeds for everything. This is part of the “power boost”. When I run the speed test using the Seattle server, I will consistently get 20. When I use a different server, I consistently get 12.
The reason is to compete with Verizon FIOS. The FIOS service just started to appear in some areas of Kirkland and Bellevue. I just so happen to be in an area where they
