Good things come in threes

I currently have 3 new positions that I am working towards. One if for a forecasting and planning position that is with a smaller company based in Los Angeles. I had an interview with this company a couple of days before I left for Kansas City. Another role is within the company I am with now. I guess [they] don’t want me to leave, so [they] are trying to move me into a new role with greater responsibilities; and pay I hope. Last night, I got a text message from a former co-worker. She informed me of a position that opened with her company doing retail replenishment.

What to do? Who to go with? All 3 roles have a lot of pros and cons. One difficult point I continue to struggle with is leaving the current company I work for. I struggle with it because of whom I have the extreme honor of working with. A lot of these people I have worked with for 6 years now. I guess you can say that they have all become good friends. Loyalty is a bitch. Regardless of who I go with, I need to make my decision for me. My decision will be based on what will better my career and my living.

The internal bullshit I get from time-to-time seems to play a part too. I’ve never understood why one could be faulted out for helping another group out. I did a quick redesign of an internal intranet website we have. The site is managed by another team and supported by IT. The only thing I did was change the HTML and CSS to make it ‘perdy’. My teams response - obviously you have more bandwidth to do more for us. So much for doing shit on my own time.
