I Resigned Today
AT&T Mobility has been my life for 6 years now. Today, I probably did one of the most difficult things I have ever done professionally - I submitted my resignation to my boss. The team that I am on is what makes it so difficult to leave. The team that I had the honor to work with everyday is what I am going to miss. They are all extremely talented and as an collective unit, we’ve had our moments to shine. We’ve been a solid of team of 4 and always are up to the challenges that we’ve been presented with. You couldn’t ask for a better group of people; seriously. I am actually going to miss a lot of people. More than I could name. We are more than just colleagues and friends; we are like family.
I started working here when we were AT&T, then we became AT&T Wireless, then we became Cingular, and now we are at&t again. Life comes in full circles like that, but it’s the people that makes it a special place to work. My last official day of work will be Friday, August 17th. On Monday, August 20th, my new venture in life starts - T-Mobile.
I am really excited about the new opportunity. I will be back in the corporate HQ setting which potentially presents me with a lot of opportunities to move upward in the corporation. The office that I will work out of is only about 2.5 miles away from my apartment. The position I accepted should be a lot of fun. I know one person on the team and the hiring manager seems great.

Go Jason go!
I hope your new job will be less frustrating and more fun.. greets and good luck!
ps: 2.5 miles from your apartment means also 10 minutes longer sleep, right? ^^
Congrats!!!
wow, grats, Jason! i hope it turns out great for you!
Thank you :). I am really excited about the new opportunity. It’s still weird to think that I resigned from AT&T. I’ve been with this company for 6 years now. It’s been my daily routine to come here and see all these faces. Now, I will be doing something completely new and with a whole new organization.
I am still going to miss everyone. That’s the hardest part about leaving - the people
Although without you around those people will probably go elsewhere - No Jason to make their work easier and bring laughs to their day!
Thought about working for me? It’s probably less money, and way more hours and the commute AARGH! (Wait I’m also a complete realist and that often translates to ‘heartless bitch’) But you cannot beat the directions to the office: I overheard my intern tell her parents…”you go to the nose of the 747 and turn right”. You too could make a daily contribution to avaiation safety….and I always need someone who can work the data.
I am in the most technically challenging project of my career and that spells entertainment. It would change your life forever.
We are really going to miss this guy. You have no idea how important it is to get along with the people you work with. It makes the world of difference.
Thanks for all your contributions to the team, organziation and the company.
Jason good luck and don’t forget us. I know we won’t forget you.
Can’t believe the boy is leaving - Best of luck to you my friend.
let the $ speak for it self! the story of crna picka continius…
ful dobraaaaaaaaaaaaa
First Day with out Jason. It was weird not to get my morning call from him. It was weird not being on conference calls without him. It was weird having to process his termination from the system. It was sad when I got his badge and cut up credit card. I guess he’s really gone. We survived however, the day without his cheerful voice and jokes most of us didn’t get.
Jason, I hope you had a great first day, because we really miss you….
…and wind whispers Jason…
‘Tis a little quieter without you about. What timing….Football in air and the ‘08 election, who am I going to razz? But it is good to know that you have moved on to greener pastures.
…will the wind ever remember the names it has blown in the past?…
